 Psycho is a horror film directed by Alfred Hitchcock, 1960. It is one of Alfred Hitchcock's most known films, and is considered one of his best films. In Psycho Hitchcock works with alot of sepence, which means he lets the audiance know more than the characters in the film. 

The Film is about a secretary ( Marion Crane) who takes money from her work in order to pay off the wife of her lover so they can get married. On the way there she stays a night in a motel, and meets Norman Bates. Bates has problems with his mother, which he tries to work out by killing Miss. Crane.

The film became 4  Academy Awards nominations, one for best suporting actress (Janet Leigh) and for best dirctor. 

It stars Anthony Perkins, Vera Miles, John Gavin and Jenet Leigh. 

The scream in Psycho became one of the best known screams in film history.
